The science: why it actually plumps

PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is purified DNA fragments — most often from salmon, which shares roughly 98% of its DNA structure with ours, so skin recognises and uses it. On skin, PDRN activates a specific docking site called the A2A adenosine receptor. Think of it as a “wake-up” signal to your fibroblasts — the cells responsible for producing collagen. Nudged into action, they help lips look firmer and more resilient, while PDRN’s soothing nature calms the look of redness.

Volumefiline (5%) works on a completely different mechanism to typical plumpers.
